If the butt of the club was a clock (seen from the butt end) 12 o’clock on top, 6 o’clock on bottom, we would like the 6 o’clock part to touch the end of the little finger, on the left hand. Close the fingers next. When you close your hand, your thumb will point to 2 o’clock. The right hand lifeline, (God made just for golfers) covers the left hand thumb. Close all 4 fingers, holding the club in the fingertips. The right hand thumb, comes down and touches the grip, and should be left of center at 11:59. The little finger of the right hand has 3 choices: it can interlock with the index of the left hand, it can overlap the index of the left hand, or it can stay where it was.
